The BSG permanent staff are Aboriginal people who are highly skilled, credentialed and experienced in numerous disciplines including but not limited to Aboriginal Education, Training and Employment, Adult Education, Health Sciences, Counselling, Life Coaching and Mentoring as well as many other disciplines that will provide the right outcome.
The BSG team have specialised in providing Aboriginal Engagement Strategies for companies who seek to engage Aboriginal staff because they recognise the opportunity to access a growing resource in our communities.
We can assist you to access Commonwealth government assistance packages, such as the Structured Training and Employment Project (STEP) for the recruitment of staff and training to ensure your strategy meets your needs and helps you grow through cost effective and meaningful engagement. BSG Employment and Training Services are able to deliver to you a fully integrated suite of services, including Cultural Awareness Training and Cultural Capacity Building as well as undertaking an environmental scan of your business to see what is effective and cost appropriate training for your staff. Our service delivery includes Employment workshop training, accredited training and related Consultancy options to cater for all needs of any company. We are also able to assist community agencies seeking Government Tenders, with BSG striving to ensure your community organisation is not left out in the funding cycles. It is these services that allow us to assist business, communities or individuals to engage with government agencies, corporate leaders and employers to negotiate access to funding, resources and other support elements that are necessary to realise employment and economic developmental aspirations.
The Service Pack which BSG Employment and Training Services has pioneered for industry, our main business capacity builder for employers seeking to engage Aboriginal services and people. It can provide a range of integrated services and options to support business development, engagement, training and employment, as well as working with you to identify issues and provide appropriate and sometimes unique solutions.
The Service Pack contains various elements including;
- Writing your unique and specific Aboriginal Engagement Strategy (AES) policy to fit your company requirements
- Engagement strategies, working with your business to engage Aboriginal people via your AES
- Sourcing government funding options to help pay for your strategy (STEP)
- Job Placement services, providing a culturally appropriate recruitment service
- Post placement support (PPS) mentoring service
- Assisting with succession planning through School Based Traineeship (SBT) and School Based Apprenticeship (SBA) recruitment and mentoring
